Fishnee — Privacy Policy
1) Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Fishnee collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Fishnee mobile application (the “App”).
2) Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you create and use an account, we may collect:
- First name, last name, username
- Email address
- Profile photo (optional)
- Profile description (optional)
- Social network links (optional)
User-generated content (UGC)
The App allows you to create content that may be visible to other users:
- Listings/items (titles, descriptions, prices, categories/tags)
- Item photos you upload
- Ratings/reviews you publish
Analytics and diagnostics
We collect technical and usage information to improve the App and fix issues, including:
- Device and app information (device model, OS version, app version/build)
- App events and interactions (e.g., screens visited, feature usage)
- Crash reports, performance data, and diagnostic logs
We use:
- Firebase Analytics for usage analytics
- Sentry for crash reporting and performance monitoring
3) How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate core features (accounts, listings, uploads, reviews)
- Maintain security and prevent abuse (spam, fraud, policy violations)
- Moderate content and handle user reports
- Improve the App (analytics) and fix bugs (crash reporting)
- Respond to support requests
4) Where photos and files are stored
Item photos and related files are stored using Amazon S3 (cloud storage). We use this storage to host and deliver user-uploaded images within the App.
5) How we share information
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share information:
- With other users, as part of the App’s functionality:
- Your public profile information (name/username, avatar)
- Your listings/items and item photos
- Your ratings/reviews
- With service providers that help us run the App (hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting), including Amazon S3, Firebase, and Sentry.
- For legal and safety reasons, if required by law or to protect users and the App.
6) Public content
Listings, item photos, and ratings/reviews you post may be publicly visible within the App. Please do not share sensitive personal information in public fields.
7) Data retention
We keep information only as long as necessary to provide the App and for legitimate purposes such as security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information where reasonably possible, unless we must keep certain data for legal or security reasons.
8) Your rights and choices
You can:
- Update your profile information in the App
- Delete your account in the App

9) Children
Fishnee is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us at [email protected].

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date and may notify you of significant changes within the App.
